This journal can be read, downloaded, copied, distributed, printed, searched, or linked to the full text of this article, stored the article, crawled for indexing, passed as data to software, or used for other legitimate purposes, without financial, legal, or technical barriers other than those inseparable from gaining access to the internet itself.
This statement of the code of ethics for scientific publication is made based on the Regulation of the Head of LIPI No. 5 of 2014 concerning the Code of Ethics for Scientific Publication. The code of ethics for publication is a norm that must be adhered to by authors who will publish their scientific work in publication media, including:
- Moral: able to distinguish between good and bad behavior in writing.
- Scientific integrity: upholding scientific principles, essence and truth, so as not to sacrifice them for any interest.
- Neutrality: free from conflicts of interest in managing publications.
- Justice: giving authorship rights to those entitled as authors.
- Honesty: free from duplication, fabrication, falsification, and plagiarism (DF2P) in publication.
Disclosure and Conflict of Interest
Unpublished material in a submitted article must not be used in an editor's own research without the written consent of the author.
Duties and Responsibilities of the Editor-in-Chief
- Determine the journal name, scientific scope, periodicity, and accreditation if necessary.
- Determine the membership of the editor.
- Define the relationship between publishers, editors, peer reviewers, and other parties.
- Respect confidential matters, both for contributing researchers, authors/writers, editors, and peer reviewers.
- Implement norms and provisions regarding intellectual property rights, especially copyright.
- Conduct journal policy reviews and convey them to authors/writers, editors, peer reviewers, and readers.
- Create a code of conduct guide for editors and peer reviewers.
- Publish journals regularly.
- Ensure the availability of funding sources for the sustainability of journal publication.
- Build a network of cooperation and marketing.
- Improve the quality of the journal.
- Prepare permits and other legal aspects.
Duties and Responsibilities of the Editor
- The editor provides comments on the author's writing so that readers can understand what the author wants to convey, through comments written in the article.
- The editor provides comments on the author's writing in accordance with the EBI (Indonesian Spelling) language or language that is in accordance with the journal's standards.
- The editor strives to continuously improve the quality of publications.
- The editor prioritizes freedom of opinion objectively.
- The editor submits corrections, clarifications, withdrawals, and apologies when necessary.
- The editor ensures that the author's writing does not involve SARA or anything that could harm the publisher and coordinates the author's writing with the publisher's editor-in-chief if the writing is slightly controversial.
- The editor receives, reviews, and follows up on complaints from all parties involved in journal publication.
- The editor supports initiatives to educate researchers about publication ethics.
- The editor does not defend his own opinion, the author or a third party that could result in non-objective decisions.
- The editor encourages authors/writers to be able to improve their writing until it is worthy of publication.
- The editor layouts the article to be published so that it is in accordance with the journal template.
- The editor assists the editor-in-chief in finalizing the collection of articles before printing and publishing, especially in terms of language, format and layout.
Duties and Responsibilities of Bestari Partners
- Provide objective and unbiased written feedback on the scientific value and contribution of the article to the development of science;
- Show whether the writing of the article is clear, complete, and relevant, and whether the article is in accordance with the scope of the journal;
- Do not provide criticism or comments that are personal in nature; and
Maintain the confidentiality of the article, by not discussing it with unrelated parties, or disclosing information contained in the article to other parties.
Author Ethics
The code of ethics that must be fulfilled by Authors who will publish their scientific articles in the Engineering Journal:

Authors must uphold scientific conduct, understand the benefits/advantages and risks of published writing.
- Published articles are free from misconduct, including: fabrication, falsification of data, and plagiarism/autoplagiarism.
- Authors are required to include adequate citations for all statements, ideas, data, which are not the results of their research.
- Published articles do not cause conflict with certain parties or have the potential to disturb the public.
- The authors listed in the published articles are truly those who are competent and have made significant contributions in writing the article.
- The author does not make double publications of the articles to be published (double manuscript submission) to other journals or publication media, simultaneously (simultaneously).
- Part or all of the published articles have never been published in other publication media.
- The published articles are original research results, ideas or thoughts of the author.
